Appeals & Complaints Policy
Complaints concerning editorial misconduct, ethical issues, or procedural irregularities will be handled in accordance with the Journal’s Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement and the COPE guidelines. JTSE aims to resolve complaints in a timely, fair, and confidential manner.
1. Complaints
All appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or, where appropriate, by an independent senior editor not previously involved in the decision. The outcome of the appeal will be communicated in writing, and the decision after appeal is final.
- Appeals based solely on disagreement with reviewers’ opinions or editorial judgment, without substantive justification, will not be considered.
- Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Journal’s Editorial Office within 30 days of the decision and must clearly address the specific points of concern.
- Authors may submit a formal appeal if they believe that a decision was based on a factual misunderstanding, procedural error, or demonstrable bias
2. Appeals
Journal of Tropical Science and Engineering (JTSE) is committed to a fair, transparent, and accountable editorial process. Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions or submit complaints regarding editorial handling, peer review, or ethical concerns.
