JTSE supports the rapid dissemination of scientific knowledge and allows the submission of manuscripts that have previously been made available as preprints on recognized, non-commercial preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv, medRxiv).

The presence of a preprint does not affect the peer review process or editorial decision-making. All submissions are evaluated solely on their scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Manuscripts previously posted as preprints are considered for publication provided that:

  • The preprint version is clearly disclosed at the time of submission;
  • The manuscript has not been formally peer-reviewed or published in a peer-reviewed journal;
  • Any substantial differences between the preprint and the submitted manuscript are appropriately addressed and explained.

Upon acceptance, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record by adding a link to the final published version of the article.
