ANNOUNCEMENT: Update of Author Guidelines and Manuscript Template
Posted on 2026-05-29The Editorial Office of the Journal of Tropical Science and Engineering is pleased to announce the adoption of a New Manuscript Template and Updated Author Guidelines for the Journal.
These updates are intended to ensure alignment with current international academic publishing standards, enhance the consistency and quality of published articles, and improve the readability and accessibility of the Journal’s content.
Effective from 29 May 2026, the new manuscript template and formatting requirements shall apply to all manuscripts submitted to the Journal, including newly submitted manuscripts as well as manuscripts currently under review, revision, editing, or production.
Under the updated guidelines, the Journal officially adopts the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition author-date citation style for both in-text citations and reference list formatting. Authors are required to ensure that citations and references fully comply with APA 7th guidelines.
To further strengthen research transparency and integrity, authors are now required to include a Data Availability Statement in all manuscripts.
Authors should provide a statement describing the availability of the data supporting the findings of the study. Depending on the nature of the research, authors may indicate that:
+ All relevant data supporting the findings of this study are included within the article and its supplementary materials;
+ The data supporting the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request;
+ The datasets generated and/or analyzed during the current study are available in the [repository name] repository at: [DOI/URL];
+ Data sharing complies with applicable ethical, legal, institutional, confidentiality, and security requirements.
Authors are kindly requested to carefully follow the updated manuscript template and author guidelines before submitting or revising the manuscripts.
