Peer reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the scientific quality and credibility of JTSE. Reviewers contribute their expertise on a voluntary and scholarly basis, supporting the advancement of science and engineering research.

2. Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations;
  • Assess manuscripts based on scientific merit, not personal opinion or institutional affiliation;
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process;
  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest promptly.

3. Evaluation Criteria

When reviewing a manuscript, reviewers should consider:

  • Appropriateness of data analysis and interpretation

3.2. Originality and Contribution

  • Novelty of the research question or approach
  • Contribution to existing knowledge in the field

4. Reviewer Reports

Reviewer reports should:

  • Avoid personal criticism.

Confidential comments to the editor should be clearly identified.

5. Confidentiality and Ethics

Reviewers must not:

  • Share manuscripts or review content with third parties;
  • Use unpublished data or ideas for personal research advantage.

Any suspicion of plagiarism, data manipulation, or ethical misconduct should be reported to the editor.

6. Conflicts of Interest

Reviewers should decline review invitations if they have:

  • Competitive or collaborative interests that may affect impartiality.

7. Timeliness

Reviewers are encouraged to:

  • Accept review invitations only when able to meet the requested deadline;
  • Inform the editorial office promptly if delays are unavoidable.

8. Recognition of Reviewers

JTSE recognizes reviewers’ contributions through:

  • Official letters of acknowledgement;
  • Reviewer certificates;
  • Annual public acknowledgement of reviewers (without linking names to specific manuscripts).

9. Ethical Framework

and international standards for responsible peer review.
